How it goes

  1. Describe your workshop

Your machines, their build volumes, the spools you actually have in stock and your rates — hourly machine price, price per gram, margin. That grid is what prices every job afterwards.

  2. You show up in searches

As soon as your profile is complete, buyers in your area see you, sorted by distance. You are only offered jobs your machines and materials can honour.

  3. You accept, the buyer pays

The quote is already priced at YOUR rates: you accept it, or you pass. The buyer only pays after you accept, and you only start printing once the platform has taken the money. Nothing goes into production on an intention to buy.

  4. You print, you get paid

You talk to the buyer in the messages, you produce, you ship. The money is held by the platform throughout production, then paid to your Stripe account once the order is complete. No chasing, no unpaid invoices.

What the platform takes off your hands

Finding customers

No website to keep up, no ads to post, no quotes to write. The demand arrives already qualified.

Pricing for you

The file is sliced on our servers and the price calculated from YOUR rates. You never argue a price, and you never underprice by mistake.

Guiding the customer

The interface walks them from material to colour: you get a clean order, not a conversation to untangle.

Securing the money

You never print before the buyer has paid, and you are settled at the end. No printing on credit, no invoices to chase.

Handling shipping

The shipping label is generated from the order, sized to the parcel the platform works out.

Staying in control

No obligation to accept: you take the order or you decline it, with no explanation owed. The buyer then re-runs their quote with another printer. You can also pause your profile whenever you want.

The money, concretely

You set your rates

Hourly machine price, price per gram by material, margin. You can change them whenever you like; orders already placed keep their price.

The commission does not come out of your share

Platform fees of 20% excluding tax are added on top of the price you set and paid by the buyer. You receive your rate in full.

Private individual or professional

You can sell as a private individual as long as you stay under 30 sales or €2,000 excluding tax per calendar year. Beyond that a SIREN number becomes mandatory to carry on — you are warned before you reach the threshold.

Invoices are issued for you

The platform issues the invoice for each sale in your name. You have no paperwork to produce.

What you need to start

  • A working fused filament printer, and somewhere to keep an eye on it.
  • At least one material in stock, with its colour and finish declared honestly.
  • An address in France or Belgium — you are only offered to buyers in your own country.
  • A Stripe account, created from the app, to receive transfers.
  • Something to pack a parcel with, and a drop-off point.

Frequently asked questions

Who can become a printer on Dimap?

Anyone with a working fused filament printer and an address in France or Belgium. You can start as a private individual; a SIREN number becomes mandatory beyond 30 sales or €2,000 excluding tax in a calendar year.

How much can I earn?

It depends on your rates, your machines and how many orders you accept. You enter your hourly machine price, your price per gram and your margin: the quote is built on that, and you see what you get before accepting. The 20% platform fee is added on top and paid by the buyer — it is not taken out of your share.

Who sets the prices?

You do, up front. You never negotiate an order: the algorithm applies your rates to the sliced file. You can change them whenever you like; orders already placed keep their price.

And shipping?

The shipping label is generated from the order, sized to the parcel derived from the parts to print. You pack it and drop it off. If the buyer is nearby, collection in person is possible.

When do I get paid, and when should I print?

The order is: you accept the request, then the buyer pays, then you print. The sum is held by the platform during production and paid to your Stripe account once the order is complete. So you never produce without a payment guarantee.

Can I stop temporarily?

Yes. Pause mode takes you out of the matching lists without deleting your profile or your publications. You switch it back on whenever you want.
