Publish your creations on Dimap and earn a royalty every time a printer in the network makes one. You touch neither a machine nor a parcel.
How you get paid

You publish a model
You upload your files — a publication can hold several parts — and you set what a buyer will be able to customise: colours, dimensions, text.

A buyer orders it
They pick their printer among those who can make it, near where they live. You do nothing.

The printer makes it
They buy the right to print your model for that order. They handle the machine, the packing and the shipping.

Your royalty lands
It is counted on every copy sold and paid automatically. A model published once can keep earning indefinitely.
Four ways to release a model
The mode is chosen at publication, independently for each model.
Open
The files are sold at the price you set, and you also earn a percentage of that price on every copy the network prints.
Semi-open
The file can't be downloaded, but any printer in the network can be commissioned to make it. You earn a fixed amount per copy.
Exclusive
Sold as a print only, and printed by your account alone. The file never leaves your machines.
What this changes compared with a classic file library
You can sell objects, not just files
Your buyer isn't only someone who owns a printer: it's anyone who wants the object. The market is far wider.
The file only leaves if you decide so
In semi-open and exclusive alike, the buyer receives the printed object, never the .stl. The file is only reachable by the printer commissioned for that order.
The price isn't up for negotiation
You set the model price and your percentage when you publish; they apply as they are to every copy. For a bespoke request, the algorithm prices it from the rates in your profile, just as it does for printers.
Downloading is only one option
A file library only knows how to sell a file. Here it is one mode out of four, and nothing obliges you to offer it.
If you want commissioned work
Some buyers have no file at all and describe what they are after. Nothing to watch: Dimap shows them the modellers in the network, nearest first, with your rating, your reviews and a price worked out from your rates. The buyer picks, and the request reaches you by name — paid for the design work, on top of the royalties on prints.

How are royalties calculated?
On a publication, you set the model price and the percentage you keep yourself: they apply automatically to every copy made, and the amount reaches you with no steps on your side. For a bespoke modelling request, the algorithm prices it from the rates in your profile. Either way, you never negotiate order by order.
Do I lose the rights to my models?
No. You remain the owner of your creations and you grant Dimap the right to have them made within the framework set out in the terms of use. You can withdraw a publication.
Which formats does the platform take?
Parts meant for printing are uploaded as .stl. You can attach a .zip project to the publication for everything else — a PDF guide, gcode, source files, visuals. The model featured on the listing is converted to web 3D for the preview; the other parts are never published in a downloadable form.
Can I sell my files elsewhere at the same time?
Yes, nothing ties you exclusively to Dimap. And on Dimap itself, the release mode is chosen publication by publication: free access, open, semi-open or exclusive.
